Tortuga Bar & Grill – Flavorful Caribbean-American Dining & Happy Hour in Hagerstown, MD

Great location first of all. It was our first time going there. The atmosphere needs to be updated but the food is American based with Caribbean flavoring. We had the lamb chops and the Tortuga bang bang chicken. Both were on point and full of flavor. Happy hour starts at 4pm-7pm with some $5 drink specials. If you want something different with a different twist, then this is the spot for you. Dhall of DC/DMV

This restaurant and its staff absolutely outperformed themselves from start to finish! Desiree and Emily took excellent care of us and made phenomenal recommendations from the crab cake sandwich and Rockfish to any of the half-priced happy hour appetizers!

We were driving passed and decided to stop and I'm so glad we did! My dinner was one of the best ones I've ever had at a restaurant. The hostess and waitress were all very kind and friendly. The kids meals were very fairly priced with the amount of food they got too. We can't wait to go back!

It's a little concerning when you first walk in cuz there was absolutely nobody there actually thought the place wasn't really open was about to turn around and walk out and some guy came out and said pick wherever you would like to sit somebody would be with us in just a moment Kayla was our server we found out they had some kind of event going on on the other side of the restaurant she was the only person we saw the entire time however the food was completely to die for started with the brussel sprouts as an app and they were Beyond fantastic had the rib dinner the the meat was falling off of the bones a lot heavy on the barbecue sauce for me but the flavor of the barbecue sauce was great I think the mashed potatoes a real and not a powder cuz they had little potato chunks in it the gravy must have been scratched made to because it was not salty like a powder gravy my husband had the lamb chops they were slightly overcooked but they were still very juicy and the flavor on them was phenomenal I had sweet tea to drink in my opinion it wasn't very sweet but I am from the south so I do like my tea very sweet and my husband had to have bottled beer because their Kegerator was not working but very reasonable prices for the quantity and quality that you get would highly recommend everybody going

Came in on a Monday night. Food and service was excellent. Must say Josh deserves a raise. He was running the bar, serving, greeting, and running food all at the same time. That being said, I understand it's a slow night of the week, but that man deserves at least one helper.

The burger was cooked to perfection and so delectable, I had to order another one to take home!!!! 5 stars all around

Amazing food at a great price! Our family loved everything we ordered and we all ordered something different. The pork and lamb chops were delicious, the ribs and brisket were excellent too! We highly recommend this place!!
